Before a new resident moves into our community we research past healthcare and assess each individual to be sure that the proper level of care is provided. From that analysis a fee structure is developed and the potential resident may:
Use a Long Term Care Policy - this is a policy that would have been purchased in advance and would have a specific benefit entitlement dedicated to the needs of Long Term Care.
Convert an existing Life Insurance Policy- this would require contacting a financial advisor or someone qualified in educating & making the conversion for the potential resident.
Apply for Aid & Attendance - This is a benefit reserved for certain veterans and their surviving spouses. The application process takes several months and must be complete prior to move in. Benefits once received are retroactive back to the date of filing so individuals can pay privately until accepted.
